Ever wanted to create your own unique killer horn riff? Need a haunting trumpet line or a jazzy sax solo? Sick of using unrealistic synth emulations?

MPC Horns (Expansion Edition) contains 16 multisampled brass instrument articulations recorded directly from actual acoustic brass instruments - with 4 different saxophones (Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax & Soprano Sax), Flugel Horn, two different Trumpets (including muted versions) and a Vintage jazz Trombone (with four unique articulations).

There's nothing synthesised here, so you get the true organic sound of real brass instruments mapped across your MPC pads. Each instrument is fully multisampled across its effective acoustic range, with 'round robins' providing varied organic timbres to ensure your performances sound incredibly realistic.

This edition of MPC Horns has been made specifically for the MPC One, MPC X, MPC Key 61, MPC Live (I & II), Akai Force, MPC Software/MPC Beats as well as controllers such as the MPC Touch, MPC Studio & MPC Renaissance, with program previews, tagged samples, a dedicated 'standalone' installer and an MPC Software 'XPN' installer (suitable for MPC Software 2.x & 1.9). All programs are memory optimised to ensure efficient performance in 'standalone mode'.

Just load up an instrument and it will map itself across your pads in correct note order – you can then create your own horn lines using your pads or via an attached MIDI keyboard. Pad Perform mode is also fully supported - more information is available via the included User Guide.

MPC Horns is the world’s only multisampled horn collection for MPCs – available exclusively from MPC-Samples.com!

Legacy MPC Owners: Please note that we do have a dedicated 'legacy MPC' edition of MPC Horns available here.

Built For Modern MPCs & Force

MPC Horns is compatible with all modern standalone MPCs running MPC2 & MPC3, the MPC Software, MPC Beats and the Akai Force.

FAQs

  • What are multisamples and what can I do with them?

Multisamples involve sampling many notes from an instrument and mapping out these notes into MPC programs - the result is a very realistic recreation of the original instrument mapped out across the pads in your MPC. You can then create your own realistic loops, riffs and solos using only your MPC.

  • How easy is it to use multisamples in my MPC?

Very easy! Just load up a multisample program just like you would any other program. Now just bash the pads and create your own unique loops and solos! And if you prefer playing with a MIDI keyboard, no problem - just connect the keyboard MIDI out to the MPC MIDI in and play the keyboard keys - your realistic instrument sounds will be output from your MPC (we've even re-ordered all pads so they match standard chromatic order on keyboards).

  • Will legacy multisamples work in my MPC?

Our legacy multisample instruments are made exclusively for vintage 'legacy' MPC models, specifically: MPC5000, MPC1000/2500/500/JJOS, MPC2000XL. We'd recommend you max out your system RAM to get the best out of them. Please note that legacy multisamples are not suitable for modern MPCs - you should instead use the expansions found in our MPC Instrument Expansions category as these take full advantage of modern MPC features.

  • Do you add effects to your multisamples?

Definitely not. It is important that professional multisamples are presented 'dry', with no delay effects (e.g. reverb, chorus, delay etc). This ensures you have maximum control over the multsamples, leaving you to add whatever effects you wish to your multisample performances.
