MPC Orchestral (Demo Edition) is a taster of our epic orchestral expansion, 'MPC Orchestral: Pro Edition'. This demo version contains six multisampled orchestral instruments built for MPCs, featuring real acoustic orchestral instrument samples expertly mapped into MPC Keygroup programs which can be used to create realistic sounding orchestral parts and performances in the MPC.
The orchestral instruments included are; Trumpet, Oboe, Cello, Orchestral Piano, Flute and Violin, which incorporate a mix of features such as dynamic layers, round robins, velocity sensitive filtering and mod wheel controlled vibrato to produce an amazingly realistic set of orchestral MPC instruments, all fully optimised for the latest generation of MPCs, MPC Software & MPC Beats, and the Akai Force
The following demo uses many of the instruments from this taster pack combined with the instruments found in the Professional Edition.
The Expansion includes a dedicated 'standalone installer' for easy drag-n-drop installation in all standalone MPCs and the Akai Force, plus an XPN installer for the MPC Software & MPC Beats.
This taster pack is completely free – simply add it to your cart and check out as normal – there’s no charge and no payment details needed. You'll receive your download link direct to your inbox!

FAQs
-
Does this work in standalone MPCs and the Akai Force?
Yes, it's 100% compatible with all modern MPCs such as the MPC X/SE, MPC Live 1,2 & 3, MPC One/One+, MPC Key and Akai Force. We've included a dedicated 'standalone' installer for easy drag-and-drop installation to your standalone MPC disk (plus an XPN file for optional MPC Software installation).
-
Does this work with the MPC-Software & MPC Beats?
Yes! In addition to the 'standalone MPC' installer we also provide a dedicated expansion installer for the MPC Software and MPC Beats; just drag and drop directly into the software. Full installation instructions are included with the expansion.
-
What is a round robin?
To mimic the subtle changes in timbre you can hear each time you play a note on an acoustic instrument, we record multiple 'takes' for each note and set up the MPC program to play back one of these samples randomly each time you play that particular note. This is referred to as a 'round robin'.
-
Can I play these instruments with a MIDI control keyboard?
Yes, just hook up your keyboard to your MPC (via USB, MIDI cable etc) and you can immediately play the instruments with the keyboard. Set up instructions are provided in the User Guide.
-
I can’t play keyboard, can I still use these instruments?
Yes! You can play the instruments directly with your pads and they also fully support PAD PERFORM mode which maps pre-built chords and scales across your pads.
