Crush features 80 custom designed presets for Akai’s Fabric XL synth plugin, utilising a mix of subtractive synthesis, layering and modulation, giving distinctly analog, lo fi and cinematic vibes.
The library contains an eclectic mix of deep, complex layered electronic patches including basses, guitars, keys, leads, pads, percussion, plucks, strings and sound FX. All presets take full advantage of Fabric’s multi-layer oscillators, blended with its expressive range of envelopes, filters and modulators to produce a warm, organic set of highly playable instruments.
All presets are fully set up; just preview, load and play using your pads or attached keyboard, with full support for pad perform, the arpeggiator, Q-Link and mod wheel expression control.
And once the presets are loaded into Fabric you can further tweak and carve out your own unique sound using Fabric’s flexible range of Q-Link mapped parameters.
Installation:
Crush is provided primarily as an MPC expansion using standard expansion installers, making it compatible with all standalone MPCs, the Force and the MPC Software (an activated version of the Fabric/Fabric XL plugin is required).
A more advanced installation option is also possible, where the Crush library is installed directly inside the Fabric XL plugin itself; full details of all installation options are explained in the included User guide
Crush Demo: Before purchasing, please try the Crush demo on your system. This is the same library with the same installation options, but with a reduced number of presets.
Requirements:Crush is a library made specifically for Akai’s Fabric XL plugin and hence requires a working copy of Fabric XL on your chosen device (the lower memory ‘Fabric’ is also supported).
The provided expansion installers are compatible with the following:
- Any standalone MPC running MPC 2.11+
- Akai Force 3.2+
- MPC Software 2.11+ (MPC Beats NOT supported).

What are presets?
Presets are a way of saving the ‘state’ of an MPC plugin, including all its parameters, modulations and FX settings. Each plugin in the MPC comes with a selection of ‘factory’ presets, and it is also possible load and use custom designed presets, such as the ones sold on our site.

How do I install and use presets?
There are two ways to install the presets, either as an MPC Expansion (using standard MPC expansion install methods) or by copying the presets directly inside the plugin itself. The user guide includes more details on each install method, or you can read our Plugin Preset Support Guides.

Can I load presets from the expansion browser?
Yes, you can easily install the library as a full MPC Expansion so it will appear alongside all your other expansion packs. The presets can then be previewed and loaded directly from the expansion browser (all presets have a browser audio preview included).

Will this preset library appear in the Sounds Browser in standalone mode?
If you would like your presets to be available in the 'Sounds Browser' in a standalone MPC/Force you must install the preset folder directly inside the plugin itself. We've included step by step guides on how to do this in our preset support section and in the included User Guide. Please note that installing third party presets inside the plugin is not officially supported by Akai; if you would prefer to install the presets using an officially supported method, please use the provided MPC Expansion installers and simply load the presets directly from the expansion browser.

Can I try the presets before purchasing?
Yes, you can download a demo version containing a selection of presets from the main product page before purchasing. This uses the exact same installation methods as the full library.

Can the presets be used in 'Fabric' and 'Fabric XL'?
Yes, all presets are provided in Fabric and Fabric XL formats. The standard 'Fabric' presets are useful for when memory is a bit low, as they tend to use approximately half the memory of the Fabric XL versions.
