I just want my MPC to trigger clips & sounds from Live - will this book help?
Yes, absolutely - chapter 2 covers everything you need to know about using Live as a sound module, so you can still sequence everything in your MPC and trigger Live or VST instrument sounds via MIDI. Chapter 3 covers triggering Live clips from your MPC pads and controlling Live sliders using your MPC Q Links.

Will this book solve the problems I have syncing Ableton Live with my MPC?
We hope so! Chapter 4 covers all the possible MIDI syncing options using MIDI Clock and MTC, with clear step-by-step instructions for both the MPC and Live, so you can see exactly where you are going wrong. Chapters 5 and 6 also deal with specific problems such as dealing with MIDI delays/latency and MTC 'catch up' issues.

This is not a complete technical guide to Ableton Live, it has been written specficially for Akai MPC users who wish to use Live with their MPC, for example, as a sound module, to track their beats, to create polished mixes of their MPC sequences, to control Live clips with their MPC pads etc. We cover, in detail, all the step-by-step settings required to perform these specific tasks within Live and the MPC.
