MPC Horns

A complete horn section inside your MPC - incredibly realistic sounding trumpet, sax and brass instrument multisamples for all MPCs!
$24.99 USD

Description

Ever wanted to create your own unique killer horn riff? Need a haunting trumpet line or a jazzy sax solo? Sick of using unrealistic synth emulations? Turn your MPC into a virtual brass section with MPC-Samples latest instrument multisample collection, ‘MPC Horns’!

Inside you’ll find 6 multisampled brass instrument programs recorded directly from actual acoustic brass instruments - Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Flugel Horn, Trumpet and two different Muted Trumpets.

Each instrument is fully multisampled across its effective acoustic range, with plenty of natural timbre changes from note to note to ensure your performances sound incredibly realistic.

The demo below is our arrangement of the old jazz standard, Big Mess, which uses all the brass sounds from the pack, both as solo instruments and as a complete horn section – everything is 100% sequenced in an MPC, there are no loops whatsoever. The piano and bass sounds are from MPC Keys and MPC Bass respectively.

MPC Horns is compatible with all MPCs – that means you’ll get full native keygroup programs for the MPC Software (XPM), MPC5000 (50k) and MPC4000 (AKP) and chromatic DRUM programs for all other MPCs (e.g. MPC1000/2500/500/2000/XL/3000/60).

Just load up the most appropriate program file for your MPC model and the instrument will map itself across your pads in correct note order – you can then create your own horn lines using your pads or via an attached MIDI keyboard.

MPC Software and MPC5000 programs also take advantage of the built in random layer playback features which mean all your programs sound even more realistic as each note is programmed to play back one of up to three different timbres each time it is struck!

MPC Horns is the world’s only multisampled horn collection for MPCs – available exclusively from MPC-Samples.com!

Reviews

"If you’re looking for something that’s more simple and straightforward to add your own brass and horn riffs to your tracks, then MPC Horns may be what you need - it’s a small collection of 6 multi-sampled brass instruments that have a natural acoustic sound, down to the actual “blowing” of the instruments.
Nothing synthetic here at all, just some good samples ready to be played from the keys or pads."

Product FAQs

What are multisamples and what can I do with them?

Multisamples involve sampling many notes from an instrument and mapping out these notes into MPC programs - the result is a very realistic recreation of the original instrument mapped out across the pads in your MPC. You can then create your own realistic loops, riffs and solos using only your MPC.

How easy is it to use multisamples in my MPC?

Very easy. Just load up a mulisample program just like you would any other program. Now just bash the pads and create your own unique loops and solos! And if you prefer playing with a MIDI keyboard, no problem - just connect the keyboard MIDI out to the MPC MIDI in and play the keyboard keys - your realistic multisample sounds will be output from your MPC (we've even re-ordered all pads so they match standard chromatic order on keyboards).

Will multisamples work in my sampler?

Our multisamples work with the following MPC models: MPC Software, MPC5000, MPC1000/2500/500/JJOS, MPC4000, MPC2000/XL. Due to the memory requirements of some programs use, we'd recommend you have at least 16MB of RAM to get the best out of them.

Additionally owners of newer MPCs such as the MPC Software and MPC5000 will have more advanced features available in the multisample programs.

Do you add effects to your multisamples?

Definitely not. It is important that professional multisamples are presented 'dry', with no delay effects (e.g. reverb, chorus, delay etc). This ensures you have maximum control over the multsamples, leaving you to add whatever effects you wish to your multisample performances.
